Saskia C. Quené

Saskia C. Quené studied Art History, Musicology, and Philosophy at the Humboldt University in Berlin and has been a PhD candidate at the eikones Graduate School at the University of Basel. In September 2020, she completed her dissertation entitled Goldgrund und Perspektive. Fra Angelico im Glanz des Quattrocento. Her research within the Global Horizons project focuses on questions of pictorial space, time, and perspective, the history of medieval artistic materials, techniques, and practices, the relationship between figure, ground, and background in pre-modern art, and visualizations of sound in medieval music diagrams.
